In a report from the Center for Exhibition Industry research (CEIR) released recently, performance in the Business to Business exhibition industry continued to improve through the 3rd quarter of 2014. It marks the 17th consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth.
The growth of the CEIR Total Index averaged 1.9% during the first three quarters of 2014.
“We are very pleased by the third quarter results and confirm our forecast that the exhibition industry will gain momentum,” commented CEIR’s economist Allen Shaw, Ph.D., Chief Economist for Global Economic Consulting Associates, Inc.
The strongest metric was the number of exhibitors, which was up 3.7%. Net square feet rose 2.1% and Professional Attendance increased by 1.9%.
Overall, these increases indicate that the industry is growing at a healthy pace and it is still a very good place to allocate a portion of your marketing budget.
